Poetry
That moment
where the river meets the sea, Ari

I think of you
From this far away
Time.

Your movement with
Grace
Through places I only
Wondered
About traveling to
When I was young and
Full of sureness of
What my future
Could be.

Even from Now,
All these years past
Knowing you,
I hear your
Life's beauty
Truer than
What can be felt
From any other form of
Art.

That Autumn
When the sky
Wept
I laid my head
Upon an
Ancient wallow
As you left this Earth.

In Spring,
I felt
The hilltop's
Bloom begin
In remembering
Mom,
How dearly
You loved
Me.

The fragrance of
Nature
Reminds us
We were once
Her flowers,
Her pines,
Her streams.
She moved the
Heavens
To mold us into
Being.

Our pain lies,
Tricks us into believing that We need to be
Numbed
To escape its hold -
When in truth,
Healing only asks that we be
Awakened
