About Ari

Welcome! I'm Ari Basil Wagner, a passionate author and poet dedicated to capturing the vibrant and diverse experiences of Lesbian life. My coming out journey began in 1977 in a small community where I was sure I was the only woman in the world attracted to other women. With no mainstream lesbian role models, I charted my own course through strength and resilience in my identity and adventures in life - a journey which influences my writing.

Now, at 63, I’ve woven decades of life’s most challenging and rewarding experiences into stories of romance, adventure, science fiction, and more. Each tale features strong lesbian characters and celebrates the extraordinary lifeline women offer each other. I’ve just begun publishing these stories and hope they resonate with you! Stay Tuned - my first novel will be available in early '25 with Sapphire Books Publishing.

I’m a gregarious introvert. I love people and cherish time with friends and family. Then, I replenish my soul in nature. I love kayaking, biking, hiking snowshoeing, snowboarding, and exploring. Nature guides my creativity and brings me a sense of peace and joy. I hope you're inspired by my work and find hope in its meaning.
